Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to use the bookmarks I created in Captivate 2019 for just navigation (not with overlays). I would like the user to just be able to jump around the video using bookmarks. Is that possible?
thanks
It is not easy to follow up old threads in this portal. But I have written that blog post, and have used such a menu in several of my projects. You can have a look at:
http://blog.lilybiri.com/interactive-video-navigation-bookmarks or
https://elearning.adobe.com/2018/09/interactive-video-cp2019-navigation-button/
I’m testing the jump to bookmark feature as I’m building an interactive video that is a “choose your own adventure.” It is basically one video file that has questions appear on screen and then the user clicks their option and the video jumps to that point in the timeline…only its not working. I’ve tested in preview mode, Flash in Browser and HTML5 in Browser and none of the bookmarks are working. Am I missing something obvious?
I was just thinking about this the other day. I read Lieve’s post on blog dot lilybiri dot com and it’s a great solution. I’m thinking there are going to be a bucket load of feature requests now that those bookmarks exist and those overlays are possible.
I used the included video example made by Adobe to test out the workflow I had in mind. For that reason I didn’t want to include it in the public post,. Had no time to create a video myself (will do in the future). You could contact me for a quick Skype call and I will show you how it works. When you click on the menu button, the popup appears. Clicking on one of the hyperlinks moves to that bookmark. Clicking the menu button again closes the popup.
I was busy with boring work, you tempted me to write that post. It will be published here as well but is waiting moderation. You could check on my blog, published it there as well. It is blog dot lilybiri dot com. Sorry for not posting a link, or you would have to wait also for moderation. It is the most recent post, published half an hour ago.
