My company has several Captivate users in our training department, and they’ve been trying to install update 2. The installation progresses to about 90% and stops, which is apparently at a point where some critical program files have been removed but not replaced yet. This forces us to re-install entirely before attempting the update again. We’ve been following the update guide below – the user is logged into CC and ran the “clean preferences” utility, but the issue remains.

I’m beginning to worry that this might be a firewall issue. Does anyone know if there are any oddball domains we need to have whitelisted for this update to finish? Does the user need modify privileges for the installation folder (or anywhere else)?
Thanks in advance!
I am not aware of any firewall permissions required to update Captivate.
It may seem obvious, but did you make sure all iterations of Captivate and any other Adobe products are closed during the update? Once the update begins open the Task Manager (if you are on a PC) and check the background processes.
Best of luck!
