Create that second multistate object, where each state (you can use the same name for the states as in the video multistate object) has the information you want to show.

For the Success event of the Previous button, choose Execute Advanced Action. Click the Browser icon next to the blank field and the Advanced Actions dialog box will open. You need to have two commands which are almost duplicates:

  • Go to Previous State … Video multistate object
  • Go to Previous State … Text multistate object.

It could be possible also to add the text next to the video in the video state itself, but never did try that out.

Since you talk about multistate video, I presume you have multiple event videos in one object. Is that correct? You don’t tell how you allow the learner to access the videos: did you create buttons to go to the next video, the previous video, or even to jump to a specific video?

My approach would be to create a second multistate object which has the same number of states as the video object, but has text in each state to offer information about that video. Put the text multistate object wherever you find it appropriate. Then edit your actions to change both multistate objects to the appropriate state. That will probably mean you’ll have to use rather short advanced or shared actions since you need at least two commands. If you answer my questions in the first paragraph, will try to offer more help.
