FAQ 1: Overlay and Slides in All New Adobe Captivate
Adobe Captivate doesn’t allow the same slide to be used as an overlay more than once within the same project. This is because each overlay is tied to a unique point in the video timeline. When an overlay is added, it is referenced by its specific timestamp and position in the project. Reusing the same slide as an overlay could lead to conflicts or confusion within the timeline and the project’s structure.
