Is there a tutorial on how to use Captivate 6 with right to left languages? Is this a standard feature of Captivate 6 or is this part of the update?

“You can get Adobe Software Assurance only at the time of new purchase” So all that bought Captivate BEFORE this happened are just screwed then?

Come on… what the hell is that?

Adobe Software Assurance (ASA) is just the improved form of the legacy Upgrade Plan offering. Upgrade Plans have been offered from day 1, and we’ve not changed the policy on this (at-least not in the 6+ years I’ve been with Adobe). These customers pay 15% more than the license-only customers, to obtain free access to all product updates during that period.
The only change that has happened is that we’ve started rolling out more frequent intermediate releases.
If you are a CLP customer, it might still be possible to add-on ASA. Please email me: shameer at adobe dot com; and I can ask someone from our sales support team to assist you.

Why are those of us that own the product being penalized from the newest features? I have been using this since version 4 and have bought ever version since. Now you change the rules. I just bought version 6 in August.

How much money do you want to bleed from your customers, Adobe? Why not make this preview to those of us who have already spent untold thousands on your products, eLearning offerings/suites?

I just purchased Cap6 in January. I’m not a subscription customer nor ASA. When will this update be available to the rest of us? Can it be retro fitted since my purchase is barely 30 days old? I really want the drang and drop feature.

Hi Tracy, We might be able to reverse
the current purchase, and help you purchase Cp6 with ASA. Our sales team will get in touch with you to see if this is feasible.

Thanks for your response Shameer. I am a teacher, so I purchased Cap 6 with the educational discount. It is my understanding that ASA cannot be purchased with the ed disc. Is it possible to reverse my purchase altogether and then buy a year’s subscription?

They are telling me in chat that I have to purchase Captivate 6 to get the updates, that I cannot get them with the elearning suite. Is this true?

This isn’t true. If you have eLS on subscription or have ASA with your perpetual eLS License, you should receive the update. I’ll track this, and ask our support team to get in touch with you.

We just purchased Adobe Captivate 6. How do I know if I’m a subscription or ASA customer?
