Hi,

I want to publish my Captivate 9 project to my PC. I published my project with the following settings:

When I publish there is nothing in the output folder and when i click yes as in the screenshot below Microsoft Word Opens.

Any ideas? I have researched and I cannot figure this out!

Thanks for your reply. It made some updates to my PC and while I cannot view the published file when prompted, and when I click on folder icon on the publish screen, the folder is still empty, when I use File Explorer, I can get to the published output.

That is very weird. Did you try to clean the Preferences for Captivate?

Check if the Flash player plugin is installed. If you are playing locally, is the location of the published files a Flash trusted location?

Did you check to which application the .htm file is linked in your OS?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am aware of the death of Flash. I cannot publish to HTML5 because our browsers will not support HTML5. I do not have a roaming profile and I am publishing to a folder on my system. There is no link in word now – just a blank document.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Still publishing to SWF? Are you aware of the near End of Life of Flash Player also in webbrowsers? Can you try to publish to HTML to see if you have the same problem?

Do you perhaps have a roaming profile? The publish folder should really be on your system.

As for the link to Word: can you check which application is linked to the extension ‘htm’ and ‘html’? It looks like it is Word, not the default webbrowser as should be the case.
