I posted a blog about wishing there were more people doing “work out loud” type projects. I know that Adobe Live is doing that really well with Adobe XD challenges and some other design work, I’m involved with the Training, Learning, and Development Community that brings people in to discuss what they’re working on periodically, and I know that Mel Milloway has recently done a great series on using Adobe XD on YouTube, but I’m wondering if there are others I’m not familiar with? Would love it if people would be willing to share!
Todd, I love the experiments Paul has been doing and if we all begin to have some transparency, maybe it will catch on! I’m thinking about streaming some small “challenges” to see if others are interested in watching and/or participating. I would love it if I could partner with someone so that there is an “on-air” talent as well as a producer who can feed questions and help to manage chat, etc. Interested Todd? 😀
I already answered your question: Captivate is not considered to be a ‘Full-blown’ Adobe application by the big CC community and I don’t expect any CP expert will every be invited to do such a session. In the ACP community I am considered to be the Captivate defender, but without any success. Very sorry about that, I could offer a lot of practical tips. I used to present many webinars for Adobe about Advanced Actions as well in the past, but that has been abandoned as well. Only the Evangelists are now doing webinars. I don’t like that eveolution neither, but they know better of course.
Thanks for the feedback Lieve, however, I’m not concerned with whether or not it’s sponsored by or approved by Adobe so this is a very different question. I previously posted a blog post on why I think it’s important, but this is asking for examples of leaders in our industry who may already be doing this. I think there are plenty of experts in the field who are capable of and hopefully willing to give us a peek over their shoulder as they work.
The attitude of some ‘experts’ in the eLearning community have on the contrary pushed me at not offering too much for free anymore. I’m sorry about that, don’t think I am the only one remembering with nostalgia the time when everyone showed respect and when we had great discussions leading to improvement of skills for everyone. Sincerely hope this never happens to you.
