Hi, I am trying to publish a course using SWF format.  The conditions that the client wants to use are SWF format and she wants to disable the elearning output options. When this is published, there is no swf file for her to upload to the LMS.  The last time I did this which was in June, there was a swf file.  Also, why can’t I publish to both swf and html at the same time anymore?  Thanks for any help.

You are talking about the buttons in the Publishing dialog box? Not the only way to recognize which output you did choose. I don’t open attachments, it is perfecly possible to insert images which will be visible in your post.

Please update to 11.5.1.499. You don’t have the most recent version.

Your client may have an older system, but if the learners cannot be forced to keep old versions of browsers, they will not be able to see the output anymore in a couple of months. Each LMS is running IN a browser window.

I worked some more on this last night after posting.  I was able to figure it out and get the client what she needed.  It ended up being a misunderstanding with how Captivate identifies active tabs.  I’m using the 2019 version, version “11.5.0.476.”  When creating a project (mine is non-responsive), active tabs are white and inactive are grayed out (e.g., Properties, Timing, Quiz, Master, Filmstrip).  So, when I was publishing, I was using the same protocols.  So, I thought that I was publishing a SWF file when the SWF tab was white when in fact I was publishing an HTML5 file (which was grayed out).  So, I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t see the SWF file.  I am still a fairly new user so I’m still in the discovery process.  (Although, it seems reasonable to expect that Captivate would have used the same protocols.)  To respond to your feedback, the client requested a SWF.  She explained that their system is older and they still need to use SWF.  I’ve posted some screenshots to show the active tabs in the course, and the inactive and active tabs in the Publish screen.  The filenames describe the visual.  Sorry to have bothered you about this as it seems so juvenile, but frankly I was panicking last night because I just couldn’t figure it out and I wasn’t getting any results from my searches.  The hard deadline for uploading the course to the LMS is today.  Thank you for your time!  I appreciate the availability to get help using this forum.

I don’t understand what you mean by “disable the elearning output options”? Can you explain. You didn’t tell which version you are using?

Strange publishing to SWF or dual to SWF and HTML5 when the complete disappearance of the Flash Player is so near.

Since you do not see a SWF file together with the launch file, JS and CSS, I suspect you did create a responsive project? Are you sure that you have developed a non-responsive project? Maybe post a screenshot of the output folder you got?
