I am not able to install Adobe Captivate 2019. After successful download, launching “set-up” opened up the Adobe Captivate Installer pop-up, but the status remains 0%. Had been stuck with this for past 2 days. Please provide fix to the issue.

I have tried for weeks and can’t get Captivate 2019 to install. I have local admin rights on my laptop here at work. I tried loaded while on my work network, and at home. At home I have no firewall constraints. The install starts running, but then stops before finishing. I let the install run for hours, but it does not finish. the install screen will not close when I click the “X”, but the screen changes to the screenshot enclosed. I asked my Adobe account rep for help. She said she would have tech support contact me, they never did. I looked up Adobe support on the internet, but the webpage just has links to downloads and article. I was ever able to find a phone number to call or a way to submit a trouble ticket. I have used Captivate from its inception, but this version is super frustrating.

Totally understand your frustration. Do you have a previous version installed? Did you clear the Preferences before installing the new version? Are you on Windows or Mac?

Hi,

You may try to do selective startup to identify if there is any conflicting application Or initiate the installation in a hidden admin account and see if that makes any difference.

Also, it seems you have contacted Adobe Support few days back and your issue has been fixed. Please confirm if you need any further help.

Is this a fresh install or do you already have a previous version installed? You are on Windows? Do you have full admin rights to your system?

There may be conflicting (some virus?) applications or a firewall.
