I am using the hotspot knowledge check for the first time. In preview mode it works if the user gets the answer correct on first attempt. It also works as designed if the user answers incorrectly three times. However, when I purposely answer incorrectly the first time and then try again and answer it correctly I get the try again feedback. If I try a third time I get the incorrect feedback. For some reason it is not recognizing the correct answer on 2nd and third attempt. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?
I have figured this out. I added a Clear button and updated the retry message to tell the learner to clear their previous selection or selections before they try again.
Indeed, one of the reasons that I never use the default Hotspot question but always create a custom Hotspot question using SVGs as hotspots.
In fact the Hotspot question doesn’t behave different from other default types of questions. But it is clear to the learner that a wrong answer in MCQ (or T/F) needs to be replaced by a correct answer. For a hotspot question that is not so clear. Your approach is a good workaround.
