Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

Best way for an elearning newbie to learn Captivate.
Hello fellow Captives! I’ve just tried to perform this installation because Captivate kept crashing on me. Update to Captivate 11.5.1. on Mac OSX 10.13.6 Took ages and finally stopped at 9%, reporting an Error code: 117, which, based on the Adobe help, is a network access error. I find this hard to believe, as my tested download speed is > 75MBPS. Tried: Rebooting in safe mode Cleaning preferences etc. Completely uninstalling, downloading and reinstalling from Adobe then applying update from […]
I am trying to publish and get “Publish Failed”. I am not sure what the issue is. I have published many things prior to this today.
So I recently realized that it is taking me way too long to do my voiceovers. What is the most efficient way to get them done? I am new to it so I’m trying to find some shortcuts to quick and easy ways to get them done. Thanks.
Hello everybody, little premise: I am a beginner, trying to create my first e-learning session, I am looking for support Here is my problem: I have a slide (in a responsive project) where I want the 3 objectives of the session to be shown only when the user taps on the screen. One objective should appear after each tap (or mouse click, it doesn’t matter). Down below you find the screenshot of the slide attached. How can I do that? […]

I am trying to pick the best microphone, for the best voiceover quality, and I’m having a really hard time picking one. Way too many options. Could someone send me a quick recommendation and save me some time and anguish about this decision? Thanks a ton.
I have two separate projects that publish fine as html and work fine independently, but when I copy slides from one project into the other and publish all I see is the loading circle. I also tried to create a blank responsive project and copy slides from both into the new project and publish, but that also results in the loading circle. Any thoughts about what could be the root cause?
How can I get a hotspot to remain active the entire slide duration?
