Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Hello, I’m wondering why I can’t delete this slide. It seems to be attached to the quiz results at the end. It also has a hot spot that I can’t delete, but I can move it around. Software bug? Mel
Hi! I´m new here, I´m trying to decide if I do the jump from Storyline to Captivate. (I don´t want to install parallels in my mac anymore). Most of my clients upload the courses I make to moodle, do you know if Captivate has any kind of problems? Do they work fine together?

Hello everyone, I work for a project with Captivate and I have a problem with reporting quiz data. I contacted adobe support who gave me links and information to configure our internal Server. But these steps was only in case of using a WAMP server, and we use an Apache server. Do you know if there is a guide for configuring internal server reporting with an Apache server. Thanks all for your response,
This is the second of two posts describing an approach to use the ‘Volume Control’ Learning Interaction to add some Volume Level Control functionality to the standard playbars that come with Captivate as part of the skins. Though residing on the stage and thus not physically part of the playbars, the volume level control can be invoked by interacting with the playbar through JavaScript event listeners.
This second part of the blog discusses the JavaScript code used to set up and manage the required event listeners and show/ hide the Volume Control.
It is advised that you have a look at Part 1 first, which describes motivation, scope, setup and limitations of the presented solution, and provides a demo.
INTRODUCTION In this blog, I will talk about one aspect of managing fluid box fields in the context of using Captivate assets. I once wrote about filling buttons with pictures. Thi topic is in some aspects similar, but now we will look at fluid boxes. TEMPLATES Before I start, let me talk a bit about the templates provided by the Adobe Captivate team. They can be used as they are, but in reality, the cases in which you can use […]
