Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

We had hundreds of people attend live or watch the recording to learn about how to spice up a training program with no budget, and persuade leadership to provide a larger budget next year. Let’s talk about next week! I’m doing a fun “learning theory” oriented topic for eLearning Industry. We’re talking about skills, competencies, and constructivism – specifically how to use learning technology to support these […]
For customized Adobe Connect on-premise deployments, an Adobe Connect test lab cluster is a critical support tool. Adobe Connect has rich APIs and sundry integration and customization options ranging from SSO to LMS to branding and compliance, etc. Testing changes and updates to this wide range of options in a lab is most prudent and always highly recommended. The newly updated article referenced here below discusses deploying Adobe Connect on-premise servers in an example lab pool/cluster configuration behind an application-aware […]
Hi, I have the bookmark feature set and it is working fine–takes me back to where I left off but the client wants a resume message that allows the learner to resume where they left off or start at the beginning. I have seen posts about using the TOC self paced learning option but we are not using a TOC. I have tried it though (knowing I could hide the expand button for the TOC in a pinch) but this […]

Hello captivate friends, My team and I are using captivate 11.5.0. We are using exactly the same publication settings (publication size is 1200×720 and cannot be changed). However, the result I get is different, filling in 100% the screen with a low resolution when what my colleagues get is a top resolution smaller picture Any idea why???? Thanks
In this walk through I will show you how I created a simple drag and drop activity using interactions. Initially when I tried setting this up I ran into some problems so I will walk you through the sets I used to avoid some of the issues and hopefully you are able to save some time in creating your own activity.
This is a simple drag and drop activity I have users place assets and liabilities in the correct location to demonstrate their ability to classify account types but you can do this with anything you want.
Gamification of training has become crucial for organizations to upskill their employees on complex concepts and processes. In my experience, gamification solutions work when we want to improve the retention rates, better application of learning to the job, and teach complex concepts in a fun and interesting manner. In this blog, I will be sharing some gamification solutions that worked well.
