Before you publish – a brief checklist:

  1. Your content must be original and not published anywhere else. You can, however, have the same blog published in your personal website.
  2. There must not be any backlinks in your post.
  3. You can always include the link to your business website in your profile. The URL will display in the author section of every blog that you will publish.
  4. You must not include links to download e-books.
  5. Our editorial team reserves the right to edit your article for grammatical or factual issues. We also reserve the right to reject submission in case of plagiarism of content.
  6. If you are showcasing your work, you must attach a CPTX file of your project, and the HTML5 output of the project.

Guidelines for using images in a blog:

  1. Use images as a complement to the text, so that the text becomes easier to understand. Make sure the images do not overpower the crux of the text.
  2. Use clear images that do not get pixelated when zoomed extensively. Remember poor quality images are as detrimental to the blog as poor-quality text.
  3. Use an optimal size of your images. An image too big or small can ruin your blog.
  4. If you are using your own image, copyright the image. You can also watermark the image with your own copyright text or annotate the same on a corner of the image.
  5. If you are using a stock image, make sure you attribute the image to its rightful owner.
  6. If you are using an image with Creative Commons licensing, even though the creator has granted free access, attribute the image to its rightful owner.
  7. If you are using a Rights Managed image, read its usage terms and conditions.

Also, note that:

  1. It is imperative that while posting a comment or replying to someone else’s comment, you respect the opinion of others, and reply in a polite and civil manner. The Adobe community believes in diversity, and hence others’ opinion must be respected, even if you agree to disagree.
  2. Be sincere while commenting because your help can go a long way in developing others’ skill and expertise of Captivate.
  3. The Captivate community portal is a place of learning and empowering others. Please keep it that way.
  4. Be supportive, open, and build an ecosystem of trust and goodwill.
  5. Do not attempt to divert any reader from a blog.

How long does the review process typically take?

Thanks for this but I always think watermark on an image takes the focus away.

Thanks for these tips and guidelines. I use my own images but I haven’t been watermarking them. I’ll do that going forward.
