I’m looking to get the UserId from our LMS (SumTotal).  Does anyone have experience writing a script to do this?

Did you check if the user variables cpQuizInfoStudentName and cpQuizInfoStucentId are not populated automatically? Both user variables are added to each new cptx project. Insert them in a text container and zee if they get a value when uploaded to the LMS and taking the course with a user account.
