I have been having issues creating a video and adding text to the video slides. I was able to add text captions but I need to add text that I can thereafter convert to speech using the text-to-speech feature in captivate. All the articles I read suggested that I should create text by adding using the audio or windows button that I could in turn change to speech. The audio and windows at the top when click do not dropdown the slide note (window) or the edit (audio). I have looked through the available materials on the help link but none of it worked for me. Can someone kindly share any information that can help. Thanks

I too am a little confused over the terminology used in your question. I thought I could add one of my popular videos to the discussion to possibly help you out with the process for adding text that will become text To speech. https://youtu.be/kl1aEC3zso8

The voice options in the Adobe Captivate Voice 8 are much better in my personal opinion. When I went to download the add on I had to install more RAM on my computer. Keep that in mind if you run into any issues.

My confusion may be due to some terminology differences. Captivate 8 is already very old… since we are on 11.5 at this moment. When you say ‘create video slides’ are you talking about inserting video on a cptx- slide or about normal cptx-slides? You can add CC to video but.

  1. I am not sure that feature was already available in CP8
  2. You have to insert the video so that it is synchronized with Captivate, not as event video.

Can you answer my questions?
