What do you mean by theme?
Any Captivate project is based on a theme which includes the Theme fonts, Theme Color palette, Object Styles, Master slides, setup Skin and eventually Recording defaults. More info in:

Themes have been enhanced in 11.5. You’ll find a lot more blogs about them when you visit my site.
Master slides are part of a theme, you need to be very careful to ‘import’ master slides although the most recent version of Captivate allows the use of several themes in one project. Can you tell if you are indeed using the most recent version of Captivate which is 11.5?
I really need this detail because copy/paste master slide(s) between projects is possible, but you probably want to use that master slide after pasting?
If you want to use a master slide from one of the Quick Start Projects, please mention that as well…
