I am am back to Captivate after over ten years. I want to convert a powerpoint presentation. When if begging to load the the dialog box appears, it is frozen; I cannot click on anything and have to close Captivate. What am I doing wrong?

PPTX can be a better as Michael mentioned
I would send your powerpoint file to captivatehelp@adobe.com See if they can get it working for you.
Is your Powerpoint file a pptx file or a ppt file? I’ve found ensuring that your file is in PPTX helps during the import period.
i have tried both and neither load. It should be easy.
