The Paste Appearance link is not listed in the drop down menu. This happened last week and then it resolved. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

I noticed this too. I have no idea why it happened. I’ve just been creating object styles and applying them to other objects.

Which object did you use to copy the appearance? This workflow can be useful but has a lot of limits as well. Have a look at this blog post:
