I’m currently using Kajabi to manage an online resource library. I’m new to Captivate. Does anyone have experience with Kajabi and what the main difference will be if I transition over to Captivate?
My curiosity pushed me looking at Kajabi. As far as I can judge this is a package of a lot of tools for businesses. However I couldn’t find out what they mean by ‘eLearning courses’, which seems to be a minor priority but I can be wrong. It is a platform for businesses, allowing to create websites and manage marketing.
You cannot compare two totally different applications. Captivate is a full-featured eLearning authoring tool. Because that term ‘course’ is used to cover so many different outputs, I will try to explain what is possible with such a tool. My background is in teaching (university college and music high school). With Captivate I was able to create highly interactive courses, to give learners access to course assets and assessments to allow personalized learning. That way the limited real class hours could be used in a more efficient way. Interactivity is very important in that type of courses, and I doubt very much that the Kajabi templates offer much interactivity.
If you told what your real goal is maybe a more appropriate answer could be offered. Do not expect any possibility to convert or transition a Kajabi course quickly to Captivate.
Explore this platform, have a look at some videos about Captivate (no need for the application), watch output of the sample courses here. If you are persuaded that Captivate could be the right tool, install the trial version (valid for 30 days) and get your feet wet.
