Video edit
I am trying to update a course that was created in Captivate. There is a video in the course that needs to be edited. I need to delete/remove some video and make the audio match-up. Does Captivate have the ability to make such edits or am I going to need to reshoot the video or put the video in to another editing tool of some type?
Lieve has some good questions. However, if you have a straight-up video with audio, you might be able to use Paul’s instructions to remove a chunk of the video. I haven’t tried this, but you could likely put the part you don’t want on a slide and then just skip over that slide.

Watch this video and see if it helps in your case: https://youtu.be/z7T4MsNlXlk
You need to replace the video, maybe use the same slide, you need the source material or the original file, edit the material and import it again into Captivate. If you don´t have the original file you can export the video from the Captivate Library and save it to your hard drive.
Problem with your question: is this an imported MP4 video on a slide or is it the result of a Video Demo (cpvc)-slide? Was the audio embedded in the video or was it added in Captivate after importing the video? In the last case it was a slide video for sure, but I will ask anyway: is the video inserted as slide or event video?
For video with audio: to avoid loss of synchronisation the best way is always to have the audio embedded in the video which is the case for slide video resulting from a Video Demo slide.
From the sentence ‘delete or remove some video and make the audio match’ another question pops up: are you talking about a video with added audio in Captivate where you need to trim certain parts? Or do you need to replace the complete video and want to keep the existing audio? Captivate has limited audio editing functionality (although I prefer the roundtripping with Audition).
Sorry for all the questions, but to provide you with a proper answer I need sufficient information.
