New Adobe Captivate: Simulation Issues
(1)

Hello,

I am trying to capture simulations with the new Adobe Captivate. When I click on any button, Captivate is not capturing those screenshots. However, if an input field is involved it the simulation… it will capture those screens. Am I doing something incorrect that when I click in the simulation it is not grabbing the screenshots? For reference, I have created simulations many times in the Classic Captivate version and never had this issue. Thanks.

Which exact version of 12 are you using? Find the full version number under Help, About Captivate.

To be honest, I don’t use the sim feature in the New Captivate, not only because I see too many complaints like yours here and in the Adobe forum (where I am moderator). My main reason is that neither Training nor Assessment mode are fitting for a responsive project: on small mobile screens the zoom and pan feature will automatically go to the region where the learner needs to click or to type. You don’t want that as a trainer.

If you only use Demo mode, I largely prefer to do this using Video Demo which is lacking in the new version.

Did you try to capture manually (PrintScreen) button? Yoju don’t see any click box (which has been banned from New version and only kept for sims) on the timeline?
