Hi all! I have just downloaded the new Adobe Captivate. I haven’t used Captivate before. Can I add my own items, characters, or images to the tool as I understand that it has pre-designed templates?

Hi! You can definitely import images, characters, and other multimedia elements like audio, video, and SVG into the tool within the available design options. Just rightclick on the respective multimedia element in the design option and you will have options to replace it with your own. You can replace it with media from your system or the asset library. The in-built asset library is quite comprehensive and will help you with your multimedia needs Hope this helps!

Images on the slide templates are placeholders like the texts, video, audio. You can replace them by your images, but too bad there is no project library like in all other versions. You are also limited to the design options for visual items. You can also replace the background of the slide templates by images or gradients which may be a workaround for stacking images (prohibited in responsive projects.

Beware of some problems, especially with SVGs, logged bugs.
