• Course name: Add or remove the course name on the certificate. This can be populated from a variable, which Captivate retrieves from LMS preferences if not pre-configured.
• Body: Add or remove the body text on the certificate.
• Score: Add or remove the learner’s score on the certificate, using a variable for the dynamic population.
• Date: Add or remove the date on the certificate using a variable for dynamic population.
• Signature: Add or remove the signature on the certificate.
• Caption: Add or remove the signatory’s name on the certificate.
• Card: Add or remove the card display around the certificate.

4. In the Appearance section, you can customize the certificate’s background by clicking the folder icon to select an image from either Assets or your computer.                                                                                                    You can choose from the following options in the Display dropdown to adjust how the image is displayed:

• Fill: Expands the image to fill the entire container.
• Fit: Resizes the image to fit within the container’s bounds.
• Stretch: Stretches the image to cover the container.
• Original Size: Maintains the image’s original dimensions.
• Tile: Repeats the image to cover the entire container.

5. Additionally, you can add a border and shadow to the image for enhanced visual appeal.

If the Card option is enabled, the Card tab within the Appearance section allows you to customize the card’s color, border, and shadows.

Learners can download their certificate as a PDF upon completing the course, providing them with tangible proof of their accomplishment that they can save or print for their records.

As an author, follow these steps to enable certificate downloads for learners:

• In the Visual Properties panel, scroll down and expand the Settings section.

• Enable the Certificate Download This allows learners to download their certificate after course completion.

• When this feature is enabled, a download icon will appear in the upper right corner of the screen once a learner completes the course or quiz and views the certificate.
