I need to implement a custom timer for a quiz in Adobe Captivate that counts down from 5 minutes and submits the quiz automatically when the time runs out. How can I set this up?
You don’t mention the exact version you are using. If it is NOT the most recent version, know that I have created that type of custom timers multiple times for the previous versions, using system variables and shared actions. Even when question pools were used. Some of those timers are still used 5 years after their creation in multiple projects.
However, if you are on the most recent version 12, I will not be able to offer an easy solution because the most important timing system variables have been dumped in this version. More than a year ago I launched a feature request to require their re-installment, but without success. You would need a real JS programmer to achieve in this version what you need, but even embedding JS has become a lot less powerful, so it is doubtful.
