Trouble with content blocks copy and paste

Hey Y’all,

Just putting this out there as a general question, but is anyone else having content block copy and paste issues or it’s simply not functioning? We recently updated to ver 12.5 and now I can’t seem to copy a slide or any content blocks from one project to paste into another.

I was able to do so in previous versions, but now it’s not working? It’s like nothing is being copied to the clipboard anymore. I’m on a Windows 11 system and need to know I’m not crazy! 🤪

Usually when this is happening to me its because I need to clear the cache. Go to preferences, and clear cache.

You may perform the below steps and check if it resolves the issue for you:

  • Close Captivate
  • Open File Explorer, click on “View” in the top menu bar, and check “Hidden items”
  • Go to C:\Users\”username”\AppData\Local\Adobe, and rename “Adobe Captivate 12.0” to “Adobe Captivate 12.0.old”
  • Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets and rename “12.0” to “12.0.old”
  • Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe and rename “Adobe Captivate” to “Adobe Captivate.old”
  • Open a Captivate project saved locally and check
