We’ve got some thrilling news on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you.

Soon, you’ll be able to migrate your Captivate Classic courses to the brand-new Captivate. This means you’ll have the ability to open, update, and maintain all your Classic courses using the latest features of the new Adobe Captivate.

Will the new Adobe Captivate have all the capabilities of Captivate Classic?

Absolutely! We’re  ensuring that your favorite workflows are available in the new Adobe Captivate —in fact, we’re enhancing them. With upcoming releases, you can look forward to exciting new features like:

✅ Customizable training using shapes and flexible layouts
✅ Editable PowerPoint imports
✅ AI-powered video demos with avatars and translations

…and so much more. The key workflows you rely on in Classic will soon be available (and improved!) in the new Adobe Captivate.

When can you start migrating?

In the next release of Captivate, we’ll include the solution to migrate all your Classic projects. First, we’ll launch a beta version for you to test out and provide feedback. Once we’ve made sure everything runs smoothly with your input, we’ll officially roll it out. Then, in a subsequent release, we’ll offer migration for software simulation projects through the same process.

So, no need to worry! You’ll have plenty of time to migrate your projects, and the previous 2027 deadline has been lifted. We’ll continue supporting Captivate Classic until you’ve successfully transitioned to the new Captivate.

How does migration work?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Open the new Adobe Captivate
  2. Import your Classic file
  3. Test and save—Done!

Join us for a virtual session on April 15th to get a sneak peek of the migration solution and participate in a Q&A with our product team.

I have 128 Lessons that span 17 courses to deal with.  A MAJOR bug in Classic is causing Quiz pools to fail in the JS (randomly) and while support has been all over this for me.  I have no answer at this time.  Willing to mess with JS code to fix it, but going with a new interface, moving over my Quiz pools, etc. would be ideal.  I am willing to provide samples for the team to test.  Wish I could make it to Las Vegas, but I have a scheduling conflict.  But the question on this page is simply “when?”

I am looking forward to see this new feature available. We are still using Captivate 2019. Since we are using Captivate 2019, I wonder if in the new Adobe Captivate version there is an option to create a project as multi-language. I mean, the user can select audio and closed captions in different published languages without the need to create multiple projects.

Still wondering if we have a release date for this feature. Sharath mentioned it in the webinar yesterday on TMN. Anyone know an estimate on when this feature will be released?

This should have been one of the first things rolled out – when is it coming out?
