Adobe Captivate 4 patch update is already live and many must have already installed it. Some customers faced problems installing the update from the Adobe Updater due to security reasons, firewalls set in their organizations.
Now Adobe Captivate 4 patch update is also available on web and can be downloaded from the following link –

You just need to download the patch ZIP file, unzip it and run the ‘setup.exe’.

When I publish to the server I am getting “500 file file does not exist”. Has anyone experienced this and how to I correct it?Thanks
Issues:1. When I try and record a screen cast, I get no audio – I get a warning “Adobe Captivate must establish audio input and recording sensitivity levels to create the best possible audio quality. Do you want to continue testing audio levels? I click Yes Nothing happens. I click the red record button again, and it starts recording, but I have no audio.I am running Vista. In my Audio settings screen , there is a ‘calibrate audio’ button – clicking it does nothing.2. When I import a ppt with sound files embedded I get error messages in the pop up window: unable to decode the selected wav/mp3 file for each ppt slide.3. When I enter a text to speech and then convert in either Kate’s or Paul’s voice I also get the same pop up.This is what I’ve done to solve the problem:1. I’ve removed the Adobe eLearning Suite and all components2. I’ve shut down machine/restarted3. I’ve reloaded Adobe eLearning Suite and all components4. I’ve reloaded English Speech Analysis5. I’ve reloaded Captivate 4 Neo Speech6. I’ve reloaded updater 4.4.0.17. I’ve reloaded Sigma Updater Sound8. I’ve tried this:please try this out:1. Re-start your system. Launch your command prompt(press ‘windows + R’ on your system and type cmd and press enter). Incase you have vista, launch command prompt in administrator mode.2. I also did this:also attempted last night to change the UAC. Then I went into the Program Compatability Wizard and changed compatability for XP service pack 2 and ran as an administrator but that did not work either. The wav/mp3 error messages also popped up and I was unable to record or do any of the following in my previous email. Just for fyi.
