Topic: From Drab to Fab! An eLearning Makeover Using Workflows and Customizable Objects
Description: You do your best to make the most visually pleasing eLearning you can — but, let’s face it, your strengths are in eLearning and instructional design, not graphic design or copywriting. Fortunately, Adobe Captivate gives you the ability to collaborate with others, leverage powerful workflows with tools like Photoshop and MS Word, and customize objects.
Join Linda Mahnken, Adobe Captivate Enthusiast, as she demonstrates an “eLearning make-over” case study of how she approached her company’s creative department for help in making a new eLearning course more visually appealing and in line with the company voice. The result was fabulous! The creative team was able to mock up templates for different types of slides in Photoshop that she was able to either import into Captivate or set up as customizable objects, including branded buttons and correct/incorrect quiz captions. She also used an unsung Captivate document workflow to make her collaboration with the copywriters a snap! (Bonus: once she had the customizable objects and styles set up for that eLearning, she has been able to re-use them in additional eLearning projects. Huge time saver!)
Whether you are a one-person eLearning department or you collaborate with a team, this session showcases how using workflows, styles, and customizable objects can save you time and create a more visually appealing and consistent course. This is not a step-by-step “how to” session, but is an overview of what’s possible for taking eLearning from drab to fab.
