Topic: Creating Interactive Courses using Raptivity and Captivate

Date and time: Thursday, 3rd October, 2013 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM US/Pacific

Description: Join Joe Ganci, eLearning and Captivate Community Expert to learn how eLearning developers can enhance their learners’ experience by using Raptivity and Captivate in conjunction. Learning interactions form an integral part of the eLearning courses. But these interactions have to be wisely chosen so that they augment learning instead of providing mere ornamental value to the course. So as an eLearning developer, there are quite a few considerations when selecting tools for designing interactions. One of the most important factors is whether the interactions produced with that interactivity builder tool will integrate seamlessly with their course authoring tool. In this webinar, Joe will focus on how eLearning developers can use Raptivity interactions to augment their Captivate courses. He will also demonstrate how easy it is to seamlessly integrate Raptivity interactions with Captivate. You will also get to see some interesting example courses created using these tools and how one can leverage the capabilities of both these tools to create interactive and engaging courses rapidly without programming.

Topic: mEnable your existing Adobe Captivate Courses

Date and time: Thursday, 31st October, 2013 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM US/Pacific

Description: Join Damien Bruyndonckx, Captivate Community Expert to learn about the tips tricks and best practices to make your existing Captivate content mobile friendly. The HTML 5 capabilities of Adobe Captivate, makes it possible to access your eLearning courses on mobile devices. That being said, m-Enabeling your content probably requires a bit more work than simply re-publishing it in HTML 5 format. In this session, we will mEnable an existing Captivate project made for the desktop. We will use the HTML 5 tracker to identify the unsupported features of the project and we will discuss how we can replace these features by mobile friendly features. We will also tweak the existing project in order to optimize the learning experience for the mobile devices. At the end of the road, the project will be a bit different than the original project providing a slightly different experience to the desktop and mobile students. Is it acceptable? Do we have to provide the exact same experience to desktop and mobile users? Those are important questions that we will discuss together during the session.
