We thought we’d share this for three reasons:
a) We think the content in itself will be interesting to the community
b) I think it shows how nicely you can push Captivate to make interactive video files. This does NOT look like a vanilla Captivate course, but I can assure you it is all done in Captivate. Really!
c) We’re crowd sourcing user testing to make sure it really does work on all devices without glitch! Let us know if it crashes on your device.
What do you think?
Yes on iPad it is irritating: I use Ipad Pro and I have never experienced the behaviour like i.e. not responding. I reckon the resources for this short demo were not optimised to begin with.
I did a bit of video editing (hyper-video editing implementations of MPV specification was patented) and the key is to have the resources optimiseed to begin with.
However if I had to guess I would think the branching is coursing these glitches… theaofm
This is an excellent piece of e-learning. It’s good to see Captivate used in this way. I have created similar style of e-Learning using Lectora (very easy to this on that platform btw). I don’t have too many opportunities, these days to this type of training in the corporate world but it’s nice to see this.
Really great mix of video, audio, and interactive elements in this demo. I have brainstormed some ideas using this concept for our organization and am glad to see that it can be done well. Thanks for sharing.
The only issue I encountered was that I had to click several times on a choice before it would advance. The rollover highlighting responded quickly, however. (Maxthon 4.4.8 Browser)
I really enjoyed the use of video to make this more interactive. I can see several different ways that this would benefit training projects that I am currently working on. I viewed the project via computer and did not experience any glitches on my end, however, I did notice a small delay between transitions. I would have never guessed this was created in Captivate. Great job!
