Hello, everyone.  I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on my experience at the Adobe Learning Summit 2016.  I went with the hopes that I’d learn tons of new things, and meet a ton of great people.  Both true!  But on top of that, I came back with so much excitement for what it is that we do each and every day…develop content for our learners.  One session in particular, was from Lucas Blair, called “Gamify the Learner Experience”.  This session was incredibly valuable to me, as I’ve been toying with the idea of deeper gamification than what I’d previously explored.  This session, along with the speaker’s passion, has really lit the fire under my creative seat, and I can’t wait for next year!  Thank you, Lucas!

I agree. There were so many nuggets in his presentation that was great food for thought. I loved his bit about the dynamics of the skills tree and how it can be incorporated with the badge system.

Thanks for replying, Wayne! One thought that I had following the conference was whether or not there was a good place to purchase/acquire a library of badges, or better yet, a badge-making feature or app. I am going to be getting a subscription to the eLearning Brothers Stock Assets library. Not sure if they have badges as part of that library. Any ideas?

I have not seen anything lately. I saw an article on Linkedin a few days back about IBM and Microsoft going to be implementing badges as a way of showing recognition for accomplishments in their training courses but as to a repository of badges I have not seen anything that comes to mind. Will keep a look out and if I see something will let you know.
