What the heck is a Fluidic Player?
You might not be the only one that doesn’t know what a fluidic player is, but if you haven’t experienced one before, when you experience it, you won’t forget it!
Adobe released a new LMS last year. It is called Captivate Prime.
In Captivate Prime, the fluidic player is how you view all your online content. It is a cohesive playback experience, regardless of the type of content being played. Supported formats are played consistently in this player such as: .mp4, .ppts, docx, .pdf, Adobe Captivate or Adobe Presenter projects, HTLM5, SCORM or AICC packages, and xAPI-compliant content. Captivate Prime supports HLTM5 so your mobile learning projects are good to go.
My favorite top five things I like about the Fluidic player in Adobe Captivate Prime are:
1. Table of Contents
2. Bookmarking
3. The playbar
4. Progress
5. Notes
Let’s take a look at the entire view of the Fluidic Player and then I’ll dive into each of my favorite things
As you can see, in the image below the content is on the right. But it doesn’t have to be. The Table of Contents on the left can be expanded or contracted. The playbar at the bottom can be visible or not depending on the mouse. But generally, this is how the Prime player will look for all your content uploaded in Prime.
