Alternative Exam Captivate 9
(4)

I was recently tasked with creating alternative questions for an exam.  Only after the learner fails the first exam are they suppose to be given the alternative questions as a retake exam. I tried using a question pool, to branch off to a second question pool if they fail, but that didn’t work. Suggestions?

Hi Elvis,

What message did you get on the published output, when the alternative action occurs?

Another thing, what settings do you currently have in the Quiz settings menu?

I think I explained my problem incorrectly, No errors and I am using default quiz output setting. Heres an example:

User takes a graded quiz (question pool 1) of 14 questions the first time. User Fails that quiz with a score of 60%. The course will then show the user a retake button and the user can take the quiz again but using a different question pool (2).

Is this possible in captivate? Or Is that a feature of presenter that cannot be transferred?

It is possible in Captivate using a combination of branching and advanced actions. There was a helpful tutorial on this here: http://blog.lilybiri.com/branch-aware-quiz.
