Does anyone know if Adobe is considering making the autoplay of slides a configurable option? So that the slides don’t automatically advance as is the current default?
Posted an answer, but you’ll have to be patient, since it has links to blogs it has to be approved. 🙁
I think you are confusing the setup or a (PPT) presentation, and its slides with the setup of slides in Captivate. Captivate is a tool for eLearning courses. Slides make it easier to manage content, and the default behavior of the playhead to move seamlessly to the next slide when reaching the end of a slide is part of it. It is very, very simple to have the ‘presentation’ behavior as I explained in a recent blog post about Timeline Txeaks: put a shape button on the main master slide, with No Action or the default action ‘Go to Next Slide’. Keep the pausing point, all slides will now pause at the last frame. I would recommend to try to learn the difference between an eLearning course and a presentation, and explore the secrets of the powerful TImeline in Captivate in depth.
