In the 2017 release of Adobe Captivate, Fluid Boxes, Auto-migrate from non-mobile to mobile, and Adobe Typekit integration are the features which are being used extensively by the community. When you download the trial version of Adobe Captivate, you get access to projects and resources, one of these is the Adobe Captivate (2017 Release) training project which makes use of all the above features. It can also be referred to as a tutorial for this release.
You can download the project from this link – Adobe_Captivate (2017 Release)_Demo Asset
Please comment if you have any trouble downloading or navigating the tutorial.
Thanks for your time.

I am trying to add two videos to a presentation. One in the beginning and one at the end. The one at the end spins before opening (for quite a while). The one in the beginning is okay. How can I get the last slide of the captivate to transition right into the ending video without the video having to load?
When I click the link, I get a page with an error message.

I was unable to runt the project. It appeared to download successfully but I got this error a number of times.
“Could not open. Ensure that:
– not open already
– not damaged
–sufficient space
– sufficient resources
I have been creating courseware so I know Captivate 9 is ok.
Hi Anne,
I believe you would have downloaded the demo project mentioned in this article.
In order to open the project you need to have Adobe Captivate 2017 installed on your system.
If you do not have it already installed, please download it from the link mentioned in article- https://elearning.adobe.com/2017/03/adobe-captivate-download-locations/

Hi Jacqueline, Check this location – https://elearning.adobe.com/2017/03/adobe-captivate-download-locations/
Thanks! Is it just slides I’m supposed to click through and explore? I would really like to be able to play the slides so I can see what the presentation looks like. I keep trying to ‘preview’ the slides but it’s not working.
I gave up on Captivate 8 because it was too difficult to use. I heard Captivate 2017 was much easier to use but if I can’t even figure out how to use the tutorial, I might have to give up again!
Is it me?! 🙂
Hi Deb,
You can open the .cptx file in your Captivate 2017 and then explore various options available.
If you need any assistance with this you can contact support at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/support.html

Hi Deb! It’s not always the most intuitive, but once you’ve done a few basics, it really gets easier quickly. I’m pretty new myself so the fact I’m able to respond says a lot about how quick the learning curve is! After opening the cptx file in captivate, if you select “Preview” then “Project” it should go through a loading process then open the project within a browser window and allow you to click and interact with the active project. Hope that helps! It’s a great community and a powerful tool, but there’s lots of help available!
