I know that a lot of users still use Captivate 9, so I put this video that shows a way to make a loop animation with Captivate 9.
The purpose of this video consists in showing how to illustrate a background with a loop animation.
The process shows a scenery running in loop and the way to design it: by creating visual cycles within a picture as we do in cartoons, then by applying an animation effect to this created picture, and finally by editing a Captivate script.
A lot of people have already found this video very useful for their projects.
For Captivate 2017 users: even if the way to make loop animations is now easier with the new “While” action, you will be able to see the way we can create visual cycles within a picture in order to reuse it, if you want to animate a background/scenery filling all the wide of your screen.
You can watch this video from the following link:
Informative tutorial, as I’m a video animator it is very helpful for me. Good job and thanks for sharing.
as a whiteboard animater, i gain too much knowledge from this article.
Thank you very much. You can also watch the update with Captivate 2017/2019 if needed.
I have made a new video showing an easier way to animate a scenery in loop with Captivate 2017 and the While action. You’ll also see other animations with their scripts .
This video has been made with Captivate 2017 but it also works with Captivate 2019.
You are able to then build out any group of animations which you like and even create an elaborate collection of animations. Along with video, you may also import animations on a slide. It consists of the word animation in order to are aware that it’s an animation as you keep working on the slide. You are able to use illustrations for any goal.
When capturing the slides, make sure that you perform all the measures you wish to record slowly enough. Quite simply, the imported slides can’t be easily edited in Captivate. A bigger bitrate slides contributes to a bigger project size.
You are able to record audio for your projects within Captivate if you opt to achieve that. Audio is another crucial facet which makes up the quality of the last project. Background-level audio is ideal for background music… if you mean to include it. Recording audio in Captivate is easy to accomplish. Editing audio in Adobe Captivate involves deleting regions of the waveform which you don’t want.
The standard of the Capture Phase is vital to the success of the remainder of the workflow and, ultimately to the total level of your undertaking. Your experience of the item, a great preparation, a well established workflow together with a bit of patience are the keys to unlock the real power of this highly effective application! Using well incorporated stock photos is also an excellent way to simulate a pure environment where every component would appear to belong. Design systems are excellent because they are crucial in solving problems at scale and offer integral standards and sets of principles. They are not part of the web design trends group per se, but they are definitely worth mentioning. Track down the animation you wish to use on your PC.

Well, creating a loop animation you have to make a unified loop by making the first and last key frame matching, and by putting the animation inside a movie clip symbol, your information is really good and it will definitely help to increase my knowledge as well. Being a video animation whiteboard creator I always keen to learn something new from different tutorials and blogs.
Hi jm jullien,
I noticed that when I preview my project with loop animation in html 5 browser, there’s a little break ( a few frames but noticable) at the end of the cycle. As if at the end of the slide my backgraound animation stopped for a few frames. I tried different approches to fix it but non of them worked. Maybe you have any idea what the problem might be ?
Hi, with Captivate 9 you need to adjust the frame number by adding 1 or 2 or 3 to avoid visual skips like shown in the screenshot or in the video around the 27,40th minutes.
However it works better now in html5 with Captivate 2017 and 2019. You can see that in the new video I have made.

I checked it in practice. It works nicely. There’s one thing everybody should be aware of. By default the animation is ste to 1 sec or so. I didn’t notice that and my background didn’t run smoothly. There was a brake in the backround movement. I worked out the solution after a while. We need to remember to adjust the animation length on the timeline to match the length of the graphic on the timeline. By the way, In my example, I used the moving bacgkround and an animated gif of a man running “through the forest”. Combining a giff with your idea makes it even more (nomen omen ) captivating.
