Hi all, I’m all for improving my developing skills and I’m always impressed by some of the skills on show in the community.
So, I’d like to start a bi-weekly challenge, we’re we get to show (and share!) the skills and designs that Captivate that bring.
Challenge #1Â design an interaction based on Christmas time (Holiday Season)
(Create a blog with the title Challenge #1) I may collate them if I can.
Or maybe Adobe can create a challenge page!! (xmas wish list!)
If there’s interest I’m sure we can take this forward and make it a regular thing.
Thanks
Chris
C’mon everyone!
Where are all the challenge submissions?

here is an update! Sorry about the long delay here.
Now you can showcase your Captivate project by uploading html5 output
please check for more details – https://elearning.adobe.com/2018/06/elearning-community-june-update/
I was waiting for this feature to be developed & few approvals took time! We are almost there…1-2 weeks more.
Thanks for your patience here.
Great idea. Just some ideas. Maybe start with some basic interaction challenges to give newer users a chance to participate and gain some experience. Then move on to some more advanced interaction ideas? We can also look into UI and UX design principles and then create a short challenge based on ideas presented or a given scenario.
Absolutely, we would love to have Captivate Challenges on this platform. Thanks for initiating this discussion & showing the interest in participation. More importantly, we would like to have Captivate Challenges driven by our users than from Captivate team.
Would need few features to support these challenges on this platform, will have them implemented. While that happens, let’s finalize the list of challenges, timeline, voting & rules (if you would like to have a winner for each challenge? need your suggestion)
We would do more thinking around this, will be back next week with more details & request you all to share your thoughts on above points. Please stay tuned in.
Wish you all a very happy & prosperous new year!
Shambu, it’s great to hear Adobe are giving this the go ahead. The features, I think, are needed are a webspace where details of the challenges are placed and that entry posts can be placed with links attached to view them. The list of challenges is endless, anything you can do with Cp 2017. The time-line I would set bi-weekly to start with. If it is to be user lead, I’m happy to work on this. If there is to be a winner then the most favorited post wins(?), gets put on a Challenge winners page or a prize, maybe. Anything as long as we start!!
Many Thanks to Adobe team.
Chris
Chris, thanks for jumping right in! I, too, would love to offer assistance in the set up and initial configuration. The main add I would like to share would be that somehow submissions would have to be de-identified prior to voting so the product is voted on, not the designer.
Agree?
Adam
Marcin, Shambu Nashi from Adobe is to pick this up (hopefully soon). I agree the best place for it is here. A separate community is the next option in my opinion, but still good as it kick-starts it at least. I’m being patient since putting on my original post back in December. Itching to get started now, though.
Here is a list of the weekly eLearning challenges that are run in the Articulate community: https://community.articulate.com/series/e-learning-challenges. Looking at the challenge titles might get some ideas for upcoming challenges.
I think this is a great idea. I also think your suggestion that the Adobe eLearning team could use this as the basis of a contest. Perhaps a 3-month complimentary license to the one voted the best interaction by their peers or something like that. What do you think Shambu Nashi?
