Hello,
I uploaded a video into a slide. Is there a way to have that video resume where the learner has left off and not force the leaner to start at the beginning of the video/slide?
A workaround could be to distribute the video over several slides. That means you have to use mult-syncronized video of course. For such video it is even possible to use Local storage to store the frame number in the video slide when leaving in Local Storage. That can be done by JS or with an external widgetl called CpExtra (InfoSemantics – Australia). On restarting the course, the variable with the frame number can be retrieved, and an On Enter action on that video slide could jump to the frame number. I call this ‘micro-navigation’, just posted a blog about it: https://elearning.adobe.com/2018/05/slides-frames-intro-micro-navigation/
Beware: Local Storage can only be used if the course is reopened on the same device and browser cache is not cleared.
Hi Nancy,
Captivate only support bookmarking at slide level. That means the slide will always start from the beginning. There is no workaround to achieve it other than, you insert the video as multi-slide synchronized video and distribute it across few slides. This way, the user won’t have to go through complete video.

Ashish
