Free image assets available at Unsplash can supplement our Adobe Stock assets.
What do I do when I don’t have an image?
Unsplash is a resource shared by a member of the Adobe Education Exchange. I can’t remember his name but he helped me more than he will ever know. It is a wonderful addition to our Adobe Stock resource.
As an instructional designer, I find that I only have so many hours in the day. I wish I could capture all of the images I want and need but it is not possible. So, I joined Unsplash. The entry page on the site describes the mission. Gifted artists who share unconditionally. Those who are photographers may choose to join as contributors. I smile when I visit this site always finding inspiration and, usually, an image that works.
For those of us in education, many images are posted by members of the Adobe Education Exchange that are also available for use. In other words, we have many options, Adobe Communities, Adobe Creative Cloud Stock, Unsplash and…when there are enough hours in the day…we may find we are able to take our own beautiful images. I look forward to discovering more resources as those here share them!
As an instructional designer, I completely resonate with the struggle of finding the perfect images within limited time. Unsplash has been a game-changer for me too, offering a treasure trove of high-quality, free images that spark creativity and inspiration. It’s heartening to see talented photographers sharing their work unconditionally, making it easier for educators and designers alike.
In addition to Unsplash, I’ve also found pnghq to be an invaluable resource. It offers a vast collection of transparent PNG images that are perfect for various projects.
I also use a website to download png images. It contains transparent background images for free personal and commercial use:
Here is a list of sites that offer png images for free to download without any watermark
It depends on your requirement some image website are not providing high quality images. But now there are good websites available in the internet with good images. I always use

I’ll second Freepik.com I’ve found them to be a good source for vector graphics.
If you’re looking for quirky pictures, Gratisography.com is a good source.
I used several sites for free images and animations. Here are some:
