How Adobe is helping our young people to be creative and learn real-world skills.
HI, Guy’,
I would like to let you know that Adobe is not just about business. Adobe has been very active here in Ireland and across the world helping people like myself and our communities to bring free training to our young people, the talent of tomorrow. For the past 20 twenty years, Adobe has been supporting our Foroige Computer Club House in over 35 centres across Ireland. So how do they support us?
First, they provide us with grants for computers and equipment, along with software that is cutting edge, they also take our young people to their HQ, to show them what is possible and to introduce them to a wider audience that they can connect with. Over the years we have sent hundreds of our teenagers to their HQ for a first class experience.
SO what do our young people learn? We have children from eight to eighteen years old that learn in one, many or all of the following:
- Graphic Design
- Web Design
- Coding (PHP, Python Java, JQuery, HTML, CSS, and many others)
- The complete suite of Adobe Creative Products including, Photoshop, Indesign, XD, Muse, Acrobat Pro, Captivate and more)
- Music Creation
- Public Speaking
- Electronic Project Construction
- Business Skills
- Social Skills
- Multi-Media Creation
- Self-awareness
So check out your area, maybe you can lend a hand a couple of hours a week and help our young people to learn real-world skills that will enable them to stand out among the crowds.
