I am creating courses in multiple languages — is there way to set the default fonts in my Captivate file to a new Mandarin font when my initial document was in English? I am cutting and pasting Mandarin into my English text boxes. Captivate then decides what font they should be but it’s not the right one. I have tried all of the Object Style Manager options but nothing seems to “stick”. The font changes back to what Captivate thinks it should be, not what I want it set as.

Did you never try to use the import/export to Word or XML for translations?
As for the object styles which are part of the theme: did you change the default styles? I would create Preferences and a dedicated Theme for the translated version.
