Hello Everyone,

I am using Captivate 9 first version. I have 2 questions:

1. Is there any way to wrap up the TOC topics (Long topic names should be wrapped). I have tried everything but I am not able to find the solution.

2. When we hover over the player buttons then it shows the name of that particular button. Can we change the “Forward” button to “Next” …etc. naming convention. Is this possible?

Looking forward for any help. Thank you.

Regards,
Nitesh

Width of the TOC (default = 250) can be changed under the Settings button in the TOC dialog box: See screenshot in attachment.

Thank you, Lieve for the TOC!

Could you please tell me about my second point. I am not able to find the ‘strings’ file.

Sorry bit too busy at this moment. Since you didn’t answer my suggestions, but the other user, thought you just missed it.I do not have CP9 anymore, so this makes it difficult as well.

As per your suggestion, I have updated CP9 to it’s latest version 9.0.2.437. Sorry I didn’t replied on this. 🙂

Just to be sure, have you tried increasing the width of the TOC?  I have many long titles in my projects and that is often the best solution.

First version of 9 was pretty buggy, please update to the most recent version.

You cannot have topic names wrapping. ou can decrease the font size, you can increase the width of the TOC or you could edit to shorter names.  Reflect if long names do really make the TOC more usable, The slide names can be different from the Topic names in the TOC.

I have to look for the file where you can change the tooltips (it is a ‘strings’ file if my memory is correct). I almost never use playbars, prefer creating custom buttons.
