I started using Captivate 5.5. in 2014. Captivate Ver 5.5 itself had great features. The best part is, Adobe does not stop after launching a new version with an added feature but continue to bring whole new version every year with lots of new useful features. Presently using 2017, and will soon be using CP 2019.

I also appreciate their back-office team. Once we are recognized as certified, they do have our value. Whenever I have posted any query(regarding matters of Certification, its validity, and its incentives etc. … ) through email, they have always solved the query.

Also community effort to bring all captivate professionals under one roof (https://elearning.adobe.com) is really appreciable. I get a quick response to my query. At the same time, I do get appreciation from others whenever I have posted good work. This makes us proud.

Thank you Adobe.

I’d be curious to know how you do things now compared to how you did them when you first started. Has anything changed in your approach, either because of the changes to Captivate or changes in your understanding of eLearning?

I started using CP in 2014, as I was making some training material… I found feature offered bu cp were unique. Also if you use(or have used) ‘Simulation’ feature, it is very advance when you compare with dozens of other company’s tools. in fact, at that time my main attraction was that Cp was able to give output in SWF and exe format that gave me feeling of security. Because otherwise, we make something very interesting spending over months of time, and if anyone could straightway edit and claim it’s own, is not acceptable.

But then, due to a)flash not acceptance by the majority of browser & due to other programming work, I was out of Cp for some time. Then again started. Now I am using Cp mainly because HTML5 is only standard accepted by all… and Cp is giving output in HTML5 that even so call world’s no:1,2… tools are not giving so simply.  Other reason for still selected cp as elearning software is: out of 100s of company offering elearning tools, very few(not more than 4) company provides the complete range of features and connecting software that enables you to deliver an enterprise-level solution. That is, Write from developing eLearning material, its test/ Assesment, then management of all progress records(LMS), even delivering through Webinar (Adobe connect)…. all (can be) are seamlessly integrated to achieve a great result.
