Looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.

Im trying to create a 360 course to add images that appear at different stages in an office setting and then add a simulation to appear from a hotspot on a computer screen. Am I seeking the impossible?

I’d be happy to set up some time to chat whenever you’re looking for new users in the future, Shambu Nashi. Thanks for creating such a welcoming community environment.

Shambu, I would like to have the ability to insert a character image from the Library, edit it, and then save the same edited image back to the Library so that I won’t have to edit the same image again when I insert it to other slides. And yes, please keep me posted about the new Captivate features (writer111@gmail.com). Ugur

I did reply to that question in another thread with a precise workflow, which I may repeat in a blog post.  Did you miss my answer? It is pretty easy.

Hello Shambu !

I’ve been using Captivate for more than one year now… Trying to replicate what I have done before with Flash. I think I could reproduce mainly everything quite easily now but I still have a big issue with one thing : dragging AND rotating the same element. Even If I manage to do it using Javascript (but only on computers, not on tablet), I’m not 100% happy with the result.

So for me (and surely for others !) it could be a great improvement in Captivate to integrate this ability, and I hope I could do this easily one day with your awesome product !…

Thanks !…

Have you considered using Adobe Animate CC for your rotating and dragging interactions? They import nicely into Captivate.

Hello Todd !…

In fact, before coming to Captivate, I tried Animate CC for 2 months but didn’t find it easy to use. The lack of resources on the net was the main issue (Nothing with comparison with Actionscript). And unfortunately, I can’t afford to pay for both, so I made the choice of Captivate (and didn’t regret it at all !…). I hope one day I will win the big prize in the lottery so I can be fully involved in all Adobe products !!…

Thanks for your answer and your kind support anyway !

Have fun with Captivate !…

@Todd the interaction between an animation created in Animate and Captivate still has to be scripted with JS, not that easy. Without interaction, OAM’s play fine.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Would you need rotate support for 3D objects or any object which is supported currently in Captivate?

Hi ! Any object supported (smartshape or image imported) would be enough for me !… I have already many projects in mind to use this, such as Tangram, puzzles, ruler that you can rotate…

Shambu, have a look at the solution I proposed, how cumbersome:

@ Lily : This is nice Lily (as usual) !… But the problem is to drag the same element…

I remember well, nothing wrong with my memory. Dragging and rotating. Just added that link to show what one of the problems of rotating is.
