Most essential feature for your Responsive eLearning project.

We all know, when we develop responsive project, Adobe has given very important feature (in Cp2019) that you can test(preview) on mobile using generated QR Code. But no QR Code for final hosted project.

Now the fact remains that normally any one can have one/two mobiles and he/she will check on that (again with the limitation of ‘must be on intranet of that developer PC).

But as professional, everyone(including you) would like to have testing of your project after final uploading and there by getting feedback, about your responsive project, from many-many other people(using different devices). To make my point clear let me put in other way, that there is no way we can ask someone to check the live hosted project on the mobile, unless he/she type that loooong web address manually on their mobile.

I was suffering from the same…. So I am showing you the method to add QR code in your Project (atleast to get final feedback) that can be used by any one on the web.

Here is the method.

Step 1: Upload your project(say for example, this blog itself on Adobe community site). Ofcourse, You can upload on any host server for that matter.

Step 2: Open that hosted Project in the web Browser.
Copy the web address of your uploaded project page from web browser address bar.
(Example: https://community-portal-prod-previewdata.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com../….index.html.)

Step 3: Go the following web site(it is free, no registration required). https://www.unitag.io/qrcode

Step 4: Just paste your hosted project web address that you copied in step 2.

Step 5: with in a second, QR code is generated.

Step 6: Download that QR code image.

Step 7: just open your project in edit mode and add that QR Code (image file) at appropriate place.

Step 8: Save it.(if you uploading to this Adobe community web site, once you edit, need to send it for review thats it)…

Step 9: check it using that QR code from any corner of the world. Your project hosted on the real web site will get loaded on mobile using that QR code.

You can check (NOW) on your mobile by the scanning following QR code(any one). (demo uploaded on this Adobe web site itself).

   OR

Requesting you all to scan the above QR code and see my uploaded demo and give your valuable feedback.

Note:
There are few more web sites which does simillar job of giving QR Code for Free. (Tested by me)

Thanks a lot because it is very easy for me to generate QR Code for 8171 Web-Portal. You have done this responsive eLearning which is very good for our experience.

Hello Chandresh, thanks for your contribution. While this idea of having a QR code in the project is great, i noticed that this blog is 4 years old. Are there any changes to this process ever since? If yes, it would be great to know the new steps involved. You could probably write a sequel to this blog. Your thoughts please..

Hi I have tested it from an IOS and it works. The display on each page is correct. The links in the TOC also works.

Thanks for your sincere feedback… I hope you would have also realised that this way we can really check everyone’s (hosting responsive project in this community site) output. Only they need to upload their QR.

Otherwise, we hope it will work on mibile device … but can not check.

Hi, the use of a QR code I use it in my job, but it is a good idea to use it here.

About your project to me it works on a Ios mobile device. No problem.

In fact, my asking of feedback was on QR Code. As you might have seen 100s of responsive project uploaded in this community portal … but could you really check any uploaded thing on your mobile? (I guess probably no… because nobody will type that whole address …  ) So I asked that see the responsive project, that I had uploaded can be now tested on mobile easily with QR code. (I know that everyone knows about QR code… but the fact is without QR code, no one can see/check/verify the responsive design.) Am I write or something is wrong in my thinking?

I appreciate the effort you took…Thank you very much for the feedback… O/p is not as I saw on my mobile … in the future, I will check on some more mobile before finalizing…

You are correct… TOC is not looking good … I will remove transparency…

Pretty cool, Chandresh.

Tested on Samsung Galaxy S8+, Edge browser. I got some wierd effects when the text adjusted itself. I get your thinking on the TOC transparency, but I worry about the readability.

Check out the attached screenshots.
