I have imported a PPT into Captivate but later made adjustments to my original PPT. When I’m trying to update or sync with PPT through Captivate, it will not sync. How can I get the presentation to sync within Captivate without starting over?

You can link the PPT, in which case updating the PPT would lead to updates to the cptx file. But there may be incompatibility between the PPT version and the CP version.
I am using PPT 2013 and CP 2019. Which settings are you referring to?
What were the settings when you created the cptx file from the PPT? Which versions are you using for PPT and CP?
