Captivate Version 3 Update Error

Hey folks not sure if anyone else experienced this issue while updating to version 3 of Captivate 2019. I got to the installation phase around 91% when it spat out the message that the update failed. I closed out the message and restarted my machine to have a fresh start. From that point on my Captivate won’t launch and I get the error message shown below.

Unfortunately, the only option at this point is to reinstall Captivate 2019.

So just in case anyone decides to do this make sure you have no pressing plans for the next couple of hours in case this happens to you.

You will need to download the trial version using the following link.

https://www.adobe.com/products/captivate/download-trial/try.html

Once downloaded reinstall the full version of the version 3 update. The download is approximately 3 gigabytes in size so ensure you have a good connection and the time to download.

In our technological age, this happens and it can be quiet frustrating to have to reset things up again. Keeping a positive attitude when stuff like this happens makes the frustration a little more bearable, and who knows maybe it will give you some time to clean out your emails.

I have the same problem. Is there any other solution than a complete installation?

Try just relaunching the installer to install over the current version. That has happened to me before as well and it can sometimes solve the issue by relinking the program install paths in the registry etc. Give it a go and let me know if that worked for you. If it does not them you may have to uninstall and reinstall.
