We have around 1500 Scorms generated on SWF and HTML5. Since Chrome announce that they are not supporting flash player until December 2020 they gave the option to turn off Flash.
If our students Turn off Flash player the Scorm player won’t work and Google Chrom will throw the “Plugin Blocked” message.
How can I manage this error without having to generate all 1500 Scorms just for HTML5?
Thanks
Unfortunately what Lieve has said is absolutely correct, this has been coming for years and similarly, since the initial announcement I’ve always published in HTML only.
I noticed in your question you say that Chrome won’t be supporting Flash, so I just wanted to clarify that it’s not only Chrome, no browsers will be supporting it, and Adobe will no longer be maintaining it, so whichever browsers your learners use, it will be totally obsolete in just over 12 months.
I’m sorry, ,but the announcement of the disappearance of the Flash Plauer (which is not the same as the Flash application which is very much alive although under another name) from the desktop browsers has been made about 3 years ago. From that moment on I never published to SWF anymore. The problem with having published using the dual output and the multiscreen.html launch file is that CP will detect if it is a desktop/laptop and launch automatically the SWF version.
Unless someone from the staff has a solution I fear that you’ll have to republish to HTML5 only which is a huge work. I have warned all my fans two years ago that this is a huge transition and needs lot of work. Apparently that message is not really heard, sad that in this portal it was not given regularly.
