Hello – does anyone know how to get rid of the keystroke lines on a software simulation that show up after it’s published?  Thank you!

Did you turn on 32-bit insteead of 16-bit? For HTML output you cannot replace the Typing Object by a Text animation because that is not supported ofr HTML5 output. As I wrote, using Video Demo would increase the quality considerably. For training/assessment you don’t have the typing objects at all.

Can you give some more detgils, please? Is this a recorded Text Typing Object, which only appears in a software simulation in Demo mode? Which version of Captivate are you using, as mentioned under Help, About Captivate? What are the Publish settings. If you want to have HTML5 output I strongly recommend to use Video Demo instead of software sim in Video mode. The quality is a lot better, especially if you set it to 32 bit in the Preferences.

Thank you for your prompt response. I’m using version: 11.5.1.499. I am using software simulation for my company to demo different features of a new software. I’m also using the training assessment piece to get the user some hands-on experience. The key strokes strangely don’t appear as I’m typing during the simulation  but they show up on preview and in scorm. After I’m done typing a sentence, they go away but I’ve gotten feedback that the lines are distracting.

Thank you!
